Hey guys...the web master was called out of province but we have some amazing pictures up on our facebook page.  Check back soon and we'll have some celebration pics up here from the bash!  What a great time despite the hurricane!  Thanks to all the volunteers and to everyone who came out to make the 2nd annual Lobster Bash a huge success!

Official Notice concerning the Lobster Bash:

All events for Friday will be moved to the Digby Arena, with the exception of the Jumbo Lobster Competition which will take place at the Fundy Complex outdoor stage, inside if it's raining. The Kitchen Party at the arena will begin at 9:00pm instead of 8:00pm.

Most events for Saturday will be moved to the Digby Arena. Events that are cancelled for Saturday are: the Touch Tank, Lobster Trap Maze, Children's Water Sprinkler, Fisheries Safety Demos, Trap Hauling Competition, Breton Merritt Memorial Lobster Crate Run, Scallop Shucking Demo, Big Rig Burnout, and the Big Rig, Car, Truck & Bike Parade of Lights. The Lobster Bash Mud Dash will go as scheduled . . . rain or shine.

At this point, it looks like all the Sunday events will take place as scheduled, at the scheduled locations. Updates and re-scheduling of cancelled Saturday events will be added as available. The Brenton Merritt Memorial Lobster Crate Run will take place at 5:00pm on Sunday, with registration at 4:30pm.

Thank you for understanding our decisions made, due to the rainy weather forecast for Friday and Saturday. Watch for any further notices. It may be rainy outside, but the Lobster Bash will continue inside . . . come on out and enjoy the festivities . . . after all, most of us are Maritimers, and we are used to this kind of weather.

Alan Jeffries Trio are at the Bash!

The "Alan Jeffries Trio" will be performing at the Lobster Bash on Friday, July 4th, from 7:00pm to 9:15pm. They will be on stage following the Opening Ceremonies, and Crowning of the King & Queen. A great bluegrass trio. This is a free outdoor concert at the Marina Stage, sponsored by Aylward Fibreglass Inc.

Lobster Bash Show & Shine!

We thank the Digby Town Council for allowing us to close four blocks of downtown Digby to hold the 2014 Lobster Bash Show & Shine. Digby County Cruisers host this event and do an amazing job of coordinating everything. A big thank you goes out to all the members of the club. This year it looks like anything you can drive on the road is going to be there, from a vintage Austin Mini to 18 Wheeled Big Rigs . . . it can't get much better than that! The Show & Shine will happen Sunday, July 6th from 9:30am until 4:00pm.

Nashville recording artists "Witchitaw", a southern country rock band, will be performing at the Lobster Bash on Sunday, July 6th, 6:30pm - 10:00pm. Come out and enjoy this free outdoor concert at the Marina stage in Digby.

The "Pirates of Halifax" will be attending the Lobster Bash on Sunday, July 6th. Great entertainment for the whole family. While here, they will be judging the Children's Costume Contest, which has PIRATES as it's theme this year.

With close to 25 years of experience in the music industry, Gordon Douglas brings to the stage a refreshing knowledge of the artist and the music he recreates. Perhaps best known from his years fronting the popular Canadian nightclub band, Kid Cadillac, he invites his audiences on a wonderful journey to a time in music that seems only memories away.
