2018 LOBSTER BASH AMATEUR PHOTO CONTEST RULES
CONTEST THEME: “THE LOBSTER INDUSTRY”
All entries must have been taken in the Province of Nova Scotia, or surrounding waters. The contest is open to any amateur photographer (a person whose main source of income isn’t photography). The contest theme is: “The Lobster Industry”, so any aspect of the industry can be entered, such as: lobster, lobster fishermen, boats, traps, trucks, retailers, consumers, etc., your imagination is the limit. Entries are to be submitted by posting them on the Facebook, “2018 Lobster Bash Amateur Photo Contest” page. POST SINGLE PHOTOS ONLY, NO ALBUMS. Prizes will be awarded for 1st ($100), 2nd ($75), and 3rd ($50). Entries need to be high quality images. Entries that are too small, or of poor quality, will not be considered in the contest. Entrants must own the rights to the photographs submitted. Entrants in which their photograph has a person that is recognizable, if a winner, must provide a model release. The Lobster Bash Association retains the right to disqualify entries it considers inappropriate content. Winner’s names and winning photographs will be posted on the Lobster Bash website, www.lobsterbash.ca . The Lobster Bash Association reserves the non-exclusive right to publish any entry and/or use any entry in promotional and advertising materials. Photographs published will be credited to the photographer where possible. Deadline for entries will be Saturday, June 30th, 2018, at 5:00pm.The judge’s decision is final. Winners will be messaged on Facebook. With regards to photographs submitted, the entrant retains copyright. Photographs entered in this contest may be used/published by the Lobster Bash Association at no charge by the copyright owner.
