Due to circumstances beyond our control, the wrestling company that we had previously booked, will not be putting on a show this weekend, but we have acquired VICTORY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING CAN-AM to save the day and bring you fantastic wrestling entertainment. Leading the lineup is Digby's own Devin Chittick . . . some of the others will be, Just Jeff, Backwoods, Sidewalk Sam, and Ally Zwicker. Saturday, June 30th at 5pm, Digby Courier Parking Lot. This event is free to the public because of a great sponsorship by Digby Marine Supply. Be sure to meet all the VCW CAN-AM STARS following the wrestling matches!

On Saturday, June 30th and Sunday, July 1st, during the Lobster bash, we will once again hosting the Seniors Activities Centre upstairs at the Digby Fire Hall. There will be card games, and live entertainment by Terry Farnsworth. Lobster Rolls and Lobster Chowder will be available to purchase at this event. This was started a few years back by Muriel Goguen, who came up with the idea so seniors could get together to play cards, have something to eat, and socialize. This event is in memory of Muriel, a great woman and volunteer in the community, who passed away earlier this year. She will be missed by many, many people in the area.

The 2018 Lobster Bash Raffle is ready to go . . . we have four great prizes to give away this year . . . 1ST PRIZE is a Fully Restored Coca-Cola Cooler from Rick's Restorations in Las Vegas; 2ND PRIZE is a Henry .22 Golden Boy Special Lobster Bash Edition Gun from Lequille Country Store (in association with Gates Landing, Thexton's Greenhouses, Still Fired Distilleries, and Granville Ferry Market & Gas); 3RD PRIZE is 2 Nights for 2 at The Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa from Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa; and 4TH PRIZE is 1 Night for 2 at White Point Beach Resort from White Point Beach Resort.

The tickets are only $5 each, and are available at this time from Digby Marine Supply, and from Phil Robertson in Digby.

Last evening we received a thank you card from Aleigha, and are so glad her trip to Tanzania was enjoyable.   She had the joy of helping build a school for the people there.  Glad we were part of her experience.

The Lobster Bash Wrestling Showdown is going to a take place on Saturday, June 30th at 5pm in the Courier Parking Lot, Downtown Digby. LPW (Live Professional Wrestling) is presenting six huge matches for your entertainment . . . and all this is absolutely free!
